ABOUT BLAKENEY CHILDREN FOUNDATION

Blakeney Children Foundation is a community-focused nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting children and families facing hardship, including those impacted by loss, trauma, and special needs. Founded on compassion and lived experience, our work centers on meeting both the immediate and long-term needs of children while strengthening the families who care for them.

We provide essential resources such as clothing, hygiene kits, school supplies, and basic necessities to ensure that no child goes without. Beyond meeting these needs, we create safe, welcoming spaces where children can feel supported, valued, and encouraged to grow.

Our programs are designed to empower children and build confidence. Through initiatives like the Children’s Business Fair, we introduce youth to creativity, entrepreneurship, and life skills that inspire independence and self-belief. At the same time, we support parents and caregivers—especially those raising children with special needs such as autism by offering guidance, resources, and a strong sense of community.

Blakeney Children Foundation also focuses on emotional wellness and innovation. We are developing Hug Meter – My Mood, My Voice, a child-centered tool guided by our character Lumira, designed to help children express their feelings, navigate challenges such as bullying and online safety, and build healthy communication habits. Through both in-person programs and digital solutions, we are working to ensure that every child has a voice.

At our core, we believe that every child deserves to feel seen, heard, and supported. Our goal is to create lasting impact by providing not only resources, but also opportunities, encouragement, and tools that help children and families thrive.
