Meet The CEO

Suzette Kelley is the Founder and CEO of Blakeney Children Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting children and families facing hardship, loss, and emotional challenges. Her work is deeply rooted in personal experience and a genuine passion for helping others navigate life’s most difficult moments.

Suzette’s journey became even more meaningful after the loss of her son in a car accident, who left behind his young daughter. This life changing experience strengthened her commitment to ensuring that children and families receive the support, love, and resources they need during times of grief and transition. It also shaped her understanding of the emotional needs of children and the importance of being seen, heard, and supported.

At Blakeney Children Foundation, support is given without judgment or limitation. The organization serves children and families who have experienced loss for many different reasons including car accidents, illness, violence, natural causes, addiction, or other life circumstances because every child deserves compassion, stability, and care, no matter their story.

Through Blakeney Children Foundation, Suzette has developed programs that provide essential resources such as clothing, hygiene supplies, and school support, while also creating opportunities for growth through community events and youth empowerment initiatives like the Children’s Business Fair.

In addition to her nonprofit work, Suzette is the creator of Hug Meter – My Mood, My Voice, a project designed to help children express their emotions and build confidence through guided support. Inspired by her experiences and the children she serves, she continues to develop tools and programs that promote emotional wellness, resilience, and connection.

Suzette’s mission is to create a world where no child or family feels alone, and where every child has the opportunity to be seen, heard, and supported.
